Terms & Conditions
These terms govern the provision of vehicle recovery and transport services by Cirencester Recovery Services (a trading name of Sebastian Anders Holdings Limited, "we", "us", "our") to you ("the Customer"). By booking a job with us, you agree to these terms.
1. Our services
We provide vehicle recovery, accident recovery, vehicle transport, on-site assessment, secure storage and insurance/trade-instructed recovery within our operating area. We are not a workshop or roadside repair service; we do not undertake mechanical repairs at the roadside other than a brief visual assessment.
2. Booking and dispatch
Bookings are made by telephone or via our contact form. We will confirm the job, an indicative price and an estimated time of arrival before dispatching a recovery vehicle. Estimated arrival times are given in good faith but are not guaranteed; traffic, weather and unforeseen events can affect dispatch.
3. Pricing
Our standard pricing is as follows:
- Standard hours (Monday–Friday, 9am–6pm) — call-out from £120, within a 10-mile base zone around Cirencester. Mileage beyond 10 miles is charged at £1.50 per mile from our base.
- Out-of-hours (evenings, nights, weekends, bank holidays) — call-out from £200. Mileage beyond 10 miles is charged at £2 per mile from our base.
Mileage is measured from our Cirencester base to the location of the vehicle, and (where applicable) on to the destination, by the most practical route. The final price will be confirmed before we dispatch.
Additional charges may apply for jobs that require unusual recovery equipment, prolonged waiting time, secure storage, or recovery from off-road or otherwise inaccessible locations. These will be agreed with you in advance wherever possible.
All prices include VAT where applicable.
4. Payment
Payment is due on completion of the job, unless we have agreed a credit account with you in advance (typically for trade and insurance customers). We accept card payments (contactless, chip and pin), bank transfer, and may accept cash by arrangement.
Late payment may incur interest at the statutory rate under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.
5. Cancellation
If you cancel a booking before we have been dispatched, no charge applies. If we have already been dispatched and are en route, a cancellation fee equivalent to the call-out charge may be applied.
6. Your vehicle
You confirm that you are the owner, registered keeper, or authorised representative of the owner of the vehicle being recovered, and that the vehicle has valid insurance to be present on a public road where applicable.
You are responsible for removing any valuables, personal items and documents from the vehicle before recovery wherever possible. We are not liable for loss of items left in the vehicle.
You must inform us of any condition of the vehicle that may affect its safe recovery or transport (for example, broken wheels, locked steering, low ground clearance, electric/hybrid vehicle considerations).
7. Liability
We will take reasonable care of your vehicle while it is in our possession. Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for:
- Death or personal injury caused by our negligence;
- Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation;
- Any other liability that cannot be limited or excluded under English law.
Subject to that, our liability for any loss or damage arising from a job is limited to the price paid for that job, except where covered by our insurance.
We are not liable for pre-existing damage to your vehicle, mechanical condition, or for consequential losses such as missed appointments, hire car costs or loss of earnings, except where required by law.
8. Insurance and trade work
Where a job is instructed by an insurer or a trade customer, the instructing party is responsible for payment unless explicitly agreed otherwise. Trade and insurance accounts are by arrangement; standard credit terms are 30 days from invoice.
9. Secure storage
Where we hold a vehicle in secure storage on your behalf, daily storage charges apply at the rate quoted at the time. We may exercise a lien over the vehicle for unpaid storage and recovery charges.
10. Consumer rights
If you are a consumer, nothing in these terms affects your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or other consumer protection legislation.
11. Complaints
If something goes wrong, please tell us as soon as possible by emailing info@cirencesterrecoveryservices.co.uk or calling 07710 826015. We will acknowledge your complaint within 5 working days and aim to resolve it within 21 days.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version that applies to your job is the version in force at the time of booking.
